A vertical cutdown isn't the landscape video with black bars added - the frame, the pacing and sometimes the shot selection change because a phone screen and a projector don't hold attention the same way. What reads as a wide establishing shot on a landscape edit can be dead space on a vertical one.

Cutdowns are pulled from whichever main project they're attached to, so they only exist alongside a music video, product explainer, launch teaser or brand story - reframed for each platform's actual aspect ratio rather than centered and cropped.

What's in it

  • 3 vertical cuts included on every Standard package
  • Reframing built around the shots that actually work at 9:16, not a blanket crop
  • Available as an add-on for Basic or Premium projects on request

Cut during the main edit, not after

Cutdowns are produced during the edit and grade stage of the main project, once the full-length version is locked - so they carry the same color grade and beat-sync as the source video, just recomposed for a vertical frame.

Not something you can buy alone

Not a standalone product - a cutdown always comes from a main project. If the goal is a short-form video with no longer version behind it, that's a Launch Teaser, built as its own piece from the start.
